What is TWLan?

TWLan stands for "Tribalwars Local Area Network" which means that you can only play it in your local network. (Previously called DSLan, for "Die Stämme LAN")
Playing it online or via Hamachi is not possible and not permitted.

Does TWLan cost something?

No.

Where can I download TWLan?

Here.

How can I install TWLan?

Download and extract the TWLan, there's a file called "readme.txt".

How can I play TWLan?

http://127.0.0.1/

How can my friends play with me?

Your friends have to bring their computers to your place and you either need to be in the same WLAN network or connect your computers using a LAN cable. Then your friends have to enter your IP in their browsers.

What is my IP?

Start => Run => cmd.exe => ipconfig => IP-Address

Where do the others have to enter my IP?

Right up there, in your browser...

Can one play TWLan online or via Hamachi?

No.

Is there a player limit?

Yes, there's a maximum of 15 players.

How can I change the settings?

Open TWLan/htdocs/include/config.php with Notepad or something similar.

The agreement increases too fast, what can I do?

TWLan/htdocs/include/config.php

PHP Code:

Instead of 1, take something really small, like 0.000001.
If you want 1 agreement per hour regardless of the speed:

How can I add barbarian villages?

Some characters are being displayed wrong, what can I do?

In the AiO (All in One) this is because of a tool and there's not really something you can do.

dslan_start.bat is not open!

apache_start.bat doesn't work. Why?

If such an error occurs, always tell us the error message.

Cannot bind to port X: See below.
ServerRoot must be a valid directory: Move TWLan to a path with no spaces (like C:\twlan\) and execute setup_xampp.bat.

dslan_start.bat - Errcode: 2

Just ignore it.

Cannot bind to port X

Often the ports 80 and/or 443 are used by Skype. Then you can:

• Close Skype
  
• In Skype, under Options => More => Connections, remove the check where it says something with "port 80 and 443", then restart Skype.

If it is not Skype:

1. Start => Run => cmd.exe
   
2. Type in netstat -ano (with the space) and hit enter.
   
3. Search for 0.0.0.0:X
   (X is the port, so for port 80 it would be: 0.0.0.0:80)
   
4. Remember the number from the column PID or write it down.
   
5. Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC
   
6. Go to the tab Processes
   
7. In the menu: View => Select columns => Check PID, OK
   
8. At the bottom of the window, press the button Show processes of all users
   
9. Search for the process with the PID from earlier and kill the process.

Windows itself is using Port X

If you DON'T need the IIS:
System control => Uninstall programs => Windows components => Remove the check from Internet information services

If you need the IIS:
If Windows is only using port 443:

1. Open TWLan/apache/conf/httpd.conf.
   
2. Search for
   Code:

   LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.so
   and replace it by
   Code:

   #LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.so
3. Search for
   Code:

   Include conf/extra/httpd-ssl.conf
   and replace it by
   Code:

   #Include conf/extra/httpd-ssl.conf
4. Search for
   Code:

   and replace it by

5. Save
   
6. Restart apache

If Windows is using port 80:

1. Open TWLan/apache/conf/httpd.conf.
   
2. Search for
   Code:

   Listen 80
   and replace it by
   Code:

   Listen 8080
3. Save
   
4. Restart apache
   
5. Now you and your friends have to access TWLan at http://127.0.0.1:8080/ respectively http://(your IP):8080.

No really, as soon as it's finished.
It's practically impossible to predict whether that's gonna be days or years since we develop the TWLan in our free time and our private life is more important to us.
We only know that of all the release dates we announced in the past, we failed all, so announcing them is of no use anyway.
