Hallo.
Ich habe ein Problem mit meiner externen Festplatte (LaCie, 500Gb).
Sie wird nicht erkannt (weder am PC noch am Laptop).
Habe auf der Festplatte Linux (OpenSuse Gnome 11.3).
Kann es sein, dass Linux daran Schuld ist?

Wenn ich auf Hardware sicher entfernen klicke, steht sie nämlich da.
Und ich kann auch von ihr booten.

Hoffe jemand weiß, wie ich sie wieder benutzen kann.

Is the device not getting recognised or can't you see any drives?
That's a big difference.
Linux uses the EXT2/3/4 filesystem which is not supported by Windoze unless you install extra software for it.

I only can see my intern device.

I don´t know if you understand what I mean.
I installed Linux on my extern device.

You can boot from your external HDD.
You also said it's visible in 'Hardware sicher entfernen' (Safely remove hardware).
So the device is getting recognised. You'll need additional software for Windoze if you want to browse your volume with OpenSUSE on it like this one: http://www.fs-driver.org/

Do you want to get rid of OpenSUSE? If no, you can shrink the partition with GParted.
Otherwise, you can use a partition manager (like GParted, or the built-in application from windoze) to delete the partition and create a new one.
Choose for NTFS.
