Hey guys, I wonder if anyone knows a perfect PHP Editor, not only for PHP but generally for programming. I know Notepad++ but I weren't able to work with it. Now I use ConText but again I don't like it :p...
I wonder if any developer could suggest a good editor from his experience?

I'm using PhpStorm at the moment; clean UI, fast (at least for a Java application) and an integrated command line are the most important feautures for me

Right now I downloading phpstorm (which was free) however maybe I am gonna try Zend also.
Now for Eclipse, as I searched there is no PHP version?
Because the PHP version of Eclipse is called "Zend Studio" ^^

Yeah, but it's not free as the normal Eclipse editions.
If you want to use a completely free PHP editor with Eclipse backend, I would recommend
Aptana Studio which implements basic things like syntax highlighting, refactoring etc..

My suggestion is Netbeans IDE for PHP (also supports Java, C/C++)
Syntax highlighting, really good code completion, User Interface isn´t overloaded like in Eclipse, Debug-Mode with Chrome (But prefer Firefox with Firebug addon)

working with it 10 hours every day and noticed just small drawbacks. i've tried zend 5.5 - 8 before, netbeans and pure eclipse. performance wise only zend 5.5 was better (but its way to outdated, without any js/css/less inspection just to mention one problem^^)

ich findes es bei zend nicht, nur die Anleitung, wie ich es installieren müsste, aber das pack selbst nicht...
